Changing a watch strap is one of the easiest ways to refresh your watch — and you can do it at home in about two minutes. Here is how.
Measure the gap between the lugs (where the strap meets the case). It is usually 18, 20 or 22 mm. Buy a strap that matches this number.
If your new strap has a quick-release spring bar, just slide the small lever, lift the old strap out, and click the new one in. Done. Browse our quick-release straps.
For standard spring bars, slot the forked end of a spring bar tool under the bar, compress it, and lift the strap free. Reverse the steps to fit the new strap.
Give the new strap a gentle tug to make sure both spring bars are seated. That is it — enjoy the new look.
Tip: keep a spare strap or two on hand so you can match your watch to any outfit. Our strap bundles make that easy.
